On June 15 and 16, 1996, Golden Gate Park became the epicenter of a movement when the Beastie Boys and the Milarepa Fund organized the inaugural Tibetan Freedom Concert, drawing 100,000 people to San Francisco and raising over $800,000 for Tibetan human rights. It was the largest US benefit show since Live Aid and three decades later, we take a look back at that magic.
